Karen Vess

Karen brings over 42 years of experience and expertise to the dental assisting profession. After graduating from college in 1978, with her Associates in Applied Science – Dental Assisting, as well as acquiring the title, Certified Dental Assistant, Karen worked for many years as a clinical chairside dental assistant, focused specifically in general dentistry.  Karen was employed with some of the very best and well respected dentists from Boston to Virginia Beach, which helped mold her into the professional and leader she has become today. Karen took on many specific tasks in dentistry including becoming an OSHA Coordinating Specialist, Clinical Lead Assistant, as well as Dental Supply Specialist, and has also attained her certificate as a Certified Anesthesiology Assistant.

Karen’s enormous passion for the Dental profession was all the encouragement she needed to open a school for dental assisting in 1998 when Practical Dental Assisting was founded. After hearing the desperate cry from the local dental community looking for “more “educated and qualified dental assistants, Karen was proud to offer an in- depth assisting program to teach and train other individuals to become recognized and rewarded in the dental profession just as she was.

Karen is a lifetime member of American Dental Assistants Association, a member of Dental Business Network Group, as well as Founder and Owner of Dental Diva Dynasty, Inc., a Professional group for Dental Assistants.
